Apple Crumble
- Start by preheating your oven to 180°C (350°F for our North American friends). Meanwhile, imagine the wonderful smell of warm apples that's going to fill the kitchen... makes your mouth water, doesn't it?
- Peel, core and cut the apples into nice cubes. Pop them into a baking dish with the applesauce: already smells like grandma's dessert... we're in for a treat!
- In a large bowl, pour the flour, cornstarch and sugar. Add the cold butter cut into cubes. Now we get our hands dirty (clean ones, I trust you 😉) and rub everything together. With our fingertips, we work the dough until we get that crumbly texture that makes you want to dive your spoon right in.
And let's be honest: at this stage, it's very hard to resist the temptation to taste the raw dough. But stay strong, hold on, the reward is coming! - Cover the apples with this crispy dough. If you chose the praline option... congratulations! You have the instincts of a true food lover: you never lose by betting on indulgence.
